Juice Vocal Ensemble (Kerry Andrew, Sarah Dacey, Anna Snow)
“Snow Queens”.
The critically acclaimed vocal ensemble, Juice, present a glittering programme, entitled Snow Queens, to warm hearts from the deep winter chill. Contemporary classical works include the beautiful ‘Tell Me’ by Tarik O’Regan, the crystalline ‘Ave Maria’ by Cecilia McDowall, Nicola LeFanu’s serene ‘Misterium mirabile’ and a new work commissioned from Emily Hall, a recent associate artist of the Spitalfields Festival. These will be interspersed with unusual arrangements of seductive Elizabethan love songs, mysterious folk ballads, wintery pop classics and chilling mediaeval lullabies. Juice will also perform a selection from their ‘Snow Queens – Call for Works’ competition, premiering and celebrating the very best from up-and-coming composers from across the world.

Pre-performance talks are given before the concerts on 7th November and 5th December by some of the performers in conversation with the Artistic Director of Thames Concerts. Starting at 6.45pm, and lasting around 25 minutes, these informal talks serve as a brief introduction to the works being performed, and offer insight into the rehearsal process. Audience refreshments are available from 6.30pm onwards.

Tickets are not sent out for events. Audience members should bring email confirmation/I.D. to the event.

For all concerts admission is free to under-16s and full-time students (subject to availability). Identification may be requested but tickets are not required.

St Andrew’s Church is wheelchair accessible and accompanying carers are admitted free (carer tickets not required).
It is not necessary to book tickets for the morning concerts on 17th October, 19th December and 20th February, as admission is free, but voluntary donations are gratefully accepted.
