Thames Concerts’ 2020/21 Series welcomes Jonathan Radford and Ashley Fripp. Thames Concerts is one of London’s premiere recital series (established in the 1960s). Despite ongoing challenges to the whole music industry relating to the Covid-19 situation, we are proud that our concerts will continue to take place in a safe, regulated environment, the home of the series, St Andrew’s Church, Surbiton. Admission £14 on the door (or at an advance discount via Ticketweb). Admission free (no ticket required) to full-time students, under-16s, and accompanying carers of the disabled.
Saxophonist Jonathan and pianist Ashley first began performing together at the Edinburgh Festival in 2018 and have since gone on to perform extensively together across the UK, notably at the Buxton, Brighton and Lake District Festivals and at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

One of the leading classical saxophonists of his generation, Jonathan is in high demand internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. A prize winner in multiple international competitions, Jonathan was notably named Commonwealth Musician of the Year and Gold medal winner at the 2018 Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition. He is a Vandoren Paris and Henri Selmer Paris Saxophone Artist.
British pianist Ashley Fripp has performed in many of the world’s most prestigious concert halls across five continents and won prizes at more than a dozen major competitions, including at the Hamamatsu (Japan) and Leeds International Piano Competitions, the Royal Over-Seas League Competition and the coveted Gold Medal from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. In 2013, Ashley was chosen as a ‘Rising Star’ by the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO).

- For all concerts admission is free to under-16s and full-time students (subject to availability). I.D. will be requested. Tickets are not required.
