Making a long-overdue return to the series, Mary plays music by Bach, Bax, Jongen and other dazzling contemporary works.

Mary performs as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral harpist, and in the community. She has a passion for giving recitals that showcase the harp’s full potential, especially in rural communities, and previous performances include Ripon Cathedral, Isle of Arran Music, Classic Music Live! Falkirk, the Bowes Museum, Music at Junction 50, Holkham Hall in Norfolk, and Hove Music Society, as well as at London’s Wigmore Hall and the Moscow Harp Festival. Mary has been concerto soloist with the Kingston Chamber Players, the Dacorum Symphony Orchestra, the Thames Consort, St Cecilia Orchestra in Yorkshire and the Vacation Chamber Orchestra. She has performed on recordings for Linn Records with Trevor Pinnock, with the Gabrieli Consort and on Paul Patterson’s CD of harp works. Freelance orchestral work has included performances with Scottish Opera, the Royal Opera House, Opera North, Aurora Orchestra, the CBSO, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, and the RSNO at the Edinburgh International Festival. She has also performed in the West End on the Les Mis Concert Version and Paddington in Concert. Mary studied at the Royal Academy of Music.

How to book

  • On-line at an advance discount via www.universe.com
    Audience members should bring email confirmation/identification to the event.
  • In person: on the door at each event from 6.45pm (full price cash/cheque/card).
  • For all concerts admission is free to under-16s and full-time students (subject to availability). Identification will be requested but tickets are not required.
  • NHS workers are admitted for just £10 on the door to each concert (ID will be requested).
  • An individual great value season ticket gaining entry to all concerts costs just £75 and can be purchased directly from Thames Concerts moc.strecnocsemahtnull@ofni
  • St Andrew’s Church is wheelchair accessible and accompanying carers are admitted free (carer tickets not required).
  • It is not necessary to book tickets for the Farmers’ Market Day morning coffee concerts, but voluntary donations are gratefully accepted.
  • Latecomers are only admitted during a suitable pause in the performances. Programmes may be subject to change at short notice. Thames Concerts reserves the right to refuse admission. Evening concerts are not suitable for children under the age of 6.
